About Us
Frontier Contract Solutions was established in 2026, when our managing director found himself at a career crossroads and recognised a shortage of providers of critical rail specific support services. Our mission is to provide solutions to contractors and operators in the rail industry and critical infrastructure providers working on the state freight rail network in the southwest of Western Australia.
Based in Northam Western Australia, we are perfectly placed central to the rail network allowing for quick mobilisation anywhere in the state to meet our customer’s needs.
Managing Director – Andrew Thompson
Andrew is an electrician by trade. Having spent 15 years working on and around the freight rail network as a signal technician, signalling specialist, trainer and regional manager, he brings extensive knowledge in rail safety management planning, track access requirements and protection arrangements as well as maintenance planning and project delivery for multidisciplinary teams.
Andrew is also a professional member of the Risk Management Institute of Australia and has previously held accreditation under the Asset Management Institute of Australia. He is passionate about providing safe, efficient and reliable services to the rail industry and always looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
Rail Safety Management Plans
Rail Safety Management plans are a critical component of safely accessing the rail corridor to conduct works. It is a requirement that all service providers and their contractors have appropriate plans in place when they seek access to the corridor – Contact us to find out how we can help your team with the development submission and approval of RSMPs to the Rail Infrastructure Managers.
Track Protection Officers
We can provide track protection officers to support your work. Accredited up to Protection Officer Track Vehicle our POs can deliver the track protection you require to safely access the rail corridor.
Signal Technician
Our signal technicians are trained and competent in all signalling systems and track protection works required on the state freight rail network currently managed by Arc Infrastructure. we can provide a signal technician to support your works on a labour hire arrangement.
Training Services
We can provide bespoke training services to the rail industry, although we are NOT a Registered Training organisation our team of qualified assessors can work with you to provide meaningful solutions. Contact us to find out more.
